An ephemeral art project activated by visitors took place in Philadelphia, Pa. on Broad Street in the Shaft July 11-18, 2012. Created by Nathan Goddard and Curated by 2nd year MFA Students at UArts with the intent of engaging the public. Giving a space for the public to express and decompress, this quiet space in an urban environment aims to achieve this with nearly a ton of white bar sand filling the floor of both outdoor gallery spaces. People were invited to walk through the gallery spaces, mark make, put their feet in the sand and draw. Daily marks were documented for seven days in both spaces and click here for the results.
